Welcome

in my universe...

Yannick Chiquet is a creative painter born in Tours, France in the early 1960s.

Fascinated from childhood by drawing, he reproduced the characters of comic strips. Despite this passion, it was not this path that he took professionally.

Nevertheless, in the 80s the pencil was replaced by airbrushing and body painting of all kinds, motorcycles, helmets etc, a period inspired by a very futuristic theme and by artists such as Peter Andrew Jones or Chris Achilleos.

It was in the early 2000s that he was attracted to canvas, passing through acrylic, oil and today by epoxy resin.

"Self-taught, creation, research are part of my passions and are expressed today with epoxy resin.
A professional career in polymer chemistry research helped me master organic and inorganic inks and pigments in epoxy resin.
The incompatibilities of the different constituents allow the creation of surprising effects in my works."
